Description: The people of the Hearts province no longer bear their own hearts. Instead, mechanisms resembling wind-up clocks have been inserted into their chests by their feared Queen, who holds the only key to wind their lives longer. Yet, something is not right about the circumstances leading to a land of clocks in scared people, to a Queen shutting off the borders of her province, or the eerie eyes and smiles seen in the dark, something that started many years ago at the slaughter of the Red Queen and her family. Just how wrong things are is not brought into question until the arrival of a lost little girl with no memory of who she is, nor ingrained fear of things that are to be feared.
